This classic Brazilian cocoa grows in the central corridor of the Atlantic Forest in the “Cabruca” system, a famous agroforestry system where cocoa trees grow under the canopy of the Atlantic Forest. 28 Farmers are organized in the “Cooperativa dos Produtores Orgânicos do Sul da Bahia” and grow Cabruca cocoa on 970 ha of land, while conserving an additional 470 ha of rainforest. By consuming this cocoa, you contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and the habitat of the Golden Lion Tamarin.
